Wow! What an incredible few months we have had at Hadji. I had the pleasure of attending the Daughters of The Nile Installation on April 9th and want to Congratulate all the newly installed officers and Queen Christine Francis for being Installed as Queen of Shimron. The Daughter’s of The Nile are an important part of Hadji, and it was an honor to be a part of this celebration.
Willy Wonka (and the Easter Bunny) came to Hadji on April 16th for the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt. Oriental Guide Bobby Gean, Lady Tanya and their team, did an amazing job on this event. The decorations, food and turnout were outstanding. As always it was one of the best days of the year at Hadji!
The next weekend brought the Untouchables Annual Crawfish Boil. The Untouchables made the good times roll with delicious crawfish and an awesome party for everyone.
The last weekend of April was Hadji’s Potentate Ball. Jennifer and I are forever grateful for all the hard work put in by Hadji’s Nobles and Ladies. A special Thank You to the Divan Nobles and Ladies. They are some of the most dedicated and supportive people you will ever find. In addition to the Divan, we would like to offer a big Thank You to Lady Adrienne Zarahn, Lady Debbie Sapp, Lauren Cheney, Noble Keith Goolsby, and the amazing ladies of Hadji’s Widow Club. Thank you all for your help in making it a wonderful weekend. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed the festivities.
May has shown no signs of slowing down. On May 7th, the Director’s Staff held their 32nd Annual Golf Tournament. Stonebrook was the home of this year’s tournament and Noble Scot Thomas and the Director’s Staff rolled with the change for another successful tournament. The golf continued the 2nd weekend in May with the Golf Unit’s 2nd Annual Putt Putt Classic at First Tee Gulf Coast. Thanks to Wes Hudgens, Marcus McDaniel, and the Nobles of the Golf Unit a fun time was had by all who participated.
As I write this, we are preparing for the 61st Annual Dixie Shrine Convention in Panama City. We have an excellent group of Nobles and Ladies planning to attend and as always represent Hadji well.
What’s coming up? We have a group of Nobles and Ladies getting ready to attend this year’s Imperial Session in Minnesota the first week of July. After the new Imperial is elected in Minneapolis, we have the honor of hosting his first official visit here in Pensacola July 15-17. This is a huge honor for Hadji, and we hope to have a great turnout of Nobles and Ladies. Chief Rabban Bobby Minchew and Lady Ella are working hard to put together a fun weekend of events.
Please be on the lookout for information on this and the other exciting events coming to Hadji by checking your emails or by visiting the Hadji website for updated information.
Yours In Faith,
Illustrious Sir Travis High
