Greetings Nobles and Ladies,

We have been busy at Hadji for the past couple of months. In August we put on our Ceremonial 1st Section for our New Nobles. We were pleased to have our new nobles and their ladies as well as many of you attending. I would like to say “Thank You” to the Past Masters Unit and the Oriental Band for a job well done. After the Ceremonial we enjoyed the Hog Roast sponsored by the Oriental Band!! Everything was delicious. Also in August was the Untouchables Bowling Tournament. This was a fun event for all those who participated!

In September, First Lady Ella and I along with Chief Raban Bruce Stewart and Lady Donna attended two out-of-town Potentate Ball events. We traveled to Meridian, MS to honor the Potentate from Hamasa Shrine. Later in September, we attended a fun weekend of events at Bahia Shrine in Apopka, FL. We had a wonderful time celebrating with our fellow Shriners. We got up EARLY on Sunday morning in Apopka, FL and hurried back to Pensacola to attend the Widows Appreciation Luncheon event. The Untouchables and Lady Untouchables sponsored a fun time for the Hadji Widows and all the other guests. The event was a big success enjoyed by all. I would like to thank Noble Mitch Esser and all those who volunteered for a great job on the Sizzling Steak Showdown and the Gumbo Cook-Off. Many of our Nobles and Ladies participated in this fun event. This year was the BEST YET!! Noble Gary Sapp and his team from the Antique Car Unit put on a fantastic Car Show. We had over 100 cars in the show. This was our biggest show yet! Great job to all who made this a fun and exciting day at Hadji.

Now October is busy with preparation for the Hadji Haunted House starting on Friday, October 13. Bobby Gean and his team are working hard to have the 3D Fun House ready. The 3D Fun House will “entertain” all who want to “enjoy” the Hadji Haunted House on October 13, 14, 20-22, 27-29, and of course on Halloween night October 31! Visit hadjihauntedhouse.com for tickets!

A number of volunteers from Hadji will travel to Las Vegas to join volunteers from around the country for the Shriners Children’s Open PGA Golf Tournament. The tournament will begin on Monday, October 9 and go through Sunday October 15. Watch for us on television if you happen to be watching the tournament. Volunteers from Hadji will be on the 12th Hole!!

Looking forward to a busy fall at Hadji.
